How to solve the Phonegap 1.0 stopped unexpectedly error on Android

To solve the ‘application has stopped unexpectedly‘ error which forces you to close your Android Phonegap app

Phonegap 1.0 Error

you can either:

a) open the sample Android application that comes packaged with Phonegap and copy the plugins.xml file into your res/xml folder

or

b) copy the XML below into a new file called plugins.xml and save it to the res/xml folder
